Baking mode


Right now in my fridge had a stack of my ombre cake layer which in chilling session because......i dont have any cream to layered with it. haha. i made it last nite actually,pukul satu pagi, hehe. gila enough? well thats just me, suka bake bila orang semua tido.baking in peace "katanyeee" haha. buat kek tapi takde krim,great wawa great. well boleh je kalau nk buat italian buttercream, tp tak suka sbb kalau masuk peti ais nanti jadi keras cam batu. prefer guna whipped cream taaaaappiiiii, nk pegi kedai bakerinya tu pulak satu hal. urghh, kenapa rumah kau very da ceruk wawa. lol

So i came up with a solution which is using a chocolate ganache, walaupun mungkin tak sesuai sgt dari segi fizikalnya dengan ombre cake tuu, sbb yelaa selalu orang guna krim putih suci patu warna dengan warna itu ini,datang haku hamek kooo, cekelat terus. hahaha. belasah jela.

Kek nie experiment je, igt nk buat lagi sebiji surprise untuk time picnic dgn kawan-kawan, tapi last minute tak jadi sbb ada yang busy, takpe lah, lain kali ada lagi. So, berbalik kepada chocolate ganache tadi, huuuu. it was so easy peasy to make. Okay first, chocolate ganache nie is chocolate mix with whipping cream/double cream. Pernah je buat dekat sekolah dulu, tapi kat sekolah dulu lepas buat terus tuang on cake. so dia shine lah, mcm kek moist gituu~ tapi tak sangka pulak bila kita chill kan ganache nie dia jadi mcm CHOCOLATE CREAM ! :D thick and creamy gituhhh

terima kasih kepada youtube, kerana telah menginspirasikan saya . anda memang penyelamat saya. So, basically bahan-bahan untuk buat ganache nie boleh beli dkt supermarket je, takyoh pi kedai bahan bakeri. mine was just using the basic one which is :

  • Hershey's Semi Sweet Chocolate Chip (beli dekat Jusco Supermarket RM15.90)
    p/s: kalau guna chocolate bar pun takde masalah. just cincang halus okay?
  • Paul's Thickened Cream (250ml kotak kecik RM6.90)
    p/s: any kind of whipping cream/uht whipping cream/double cream would do.
    pp/s: whipping cream yang korang beli dkt Supermarket selalunya TIDAK SESUAI untuk disapu pada kek. sekian terima kasih :D
for measurement! supposedly 1:1 which means, 1cup of cream and 1cup of chocolate. so, oleh kerana cream tu 250ml so kira kurang lebih 1cup la tuh, and i added a cup of chocolate. baking maths its not that hard actually its more to your instinct. believe in yourself baby! :D

So, two items checked! now cara-caranya pula.
  1. First, korang panaskan cream korang tu.boleh panaskan atas api sampai berbuih di bahagian tepi periuk OR masuk je dalam microwave for 30seconds or so then kacau jap, patu 30seconds more, kacau lagi keep going till suam. JANGAN TERUS set 2minit, takut hangit kang. huu~
    INGAT! Jangan panas sangat just suam-suam baby je.baby? lol, belasah jela. yang penting jgn panas mendidih udoh.
  2. Then, amik coklat korang ikut suka lah nk letak berapa banyak in a bowl, mine letak one cup je.huhu.
  3. Cream yang suam tadi tu tuang ke dalam mangkuk coklat tadi. TANGAN JANGAN GATAL NAK KACAU! *besarkan mata* haha, garang tak? xD
  4. Let it melt itself for 2minutes, cuci periuk korang tu, lap-lap dapur sikit.
  5. Dah dua minit, baru kacau sampai rata. kalau ada bubble, kacau je. abaikan. haha.
  6. Semua dah sebati, letak mangkuk tu atas meja dulu biarkan dia sejuk sendiri kejap dalam 30minit. haaaa boleh la tengok sin chan sampai habis.
  7. dah betul-betul sejuk baru wrapkan, then simpan dalam fridge dalam 2-3 jam.

SIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

see how it looked so thicked right?

 and heres a little peek of my chilled stack of ombre layer cake. huuuu, cant wait to assemble this thang tomorrow! :D
